IPhone x lies

Another year and a whole mess again. Ordered a 256gb iPhone x was clearly told delivery in 1 to 2 weeks which has been and gone and still no phone!

in the last 8 days I've been promised 3 different delivery dates none of which happen even been given a fake tracking number. Been contantly told your at the top of the priority list.

Why can no one just give us a straight answer and why do the people on live chat just consistently just lie after lie. And they think this is ok.

Who do we complain to about live chat ?

Hi @leemobile23

The Social Media Team here will pass your feedback to the relevant departments.

Ever since I’ve been involved with iPhones from the iPhone 4 Launch up to the iPhone 6 Plus Launch sadly it’s always been the same story with all the main networks and independents and Apple Stores.

Pre Ordering does not guarantee a unit on launch date and dates will always slip with an iPhone launch.

Networks will always pre order because they want the business and sell as many as possible.

In my opinion all of them should only take Pre Orders to the amount of units they 100% know they are getting shipped.

My way of approaching an iPhone launch is to wait until all the hype has died down and I know then from user reviews that it’s not a lemon and theirs more availability I just walk into a particular shop and walk out with one. I totally understand and appreciate that’s not an avenue for everyone.

Some drop to Sim Only and buy the phone from Apple.

I think we all understand and accept that things can go wrong and then look to the company involved to put this right which instills confidence back in the service and product.

Communication is key.

Currently the Vodafone Online Shop is showing 2-3 weeks for delivery.

The stock for Vodafone Highstreet Stores isn’t available but it you wanted to go that route you’d first need to check in a store for availability and then ask customer service to cancel your current order , wait until your account status changed back and then process the order in a store obviously hoping they are still in stock.

I hope you get your iPhone ASAP.

Hi thanks for the reply.

I unerstand there maybe delays as I know all to well from previous experiences. My problem here is the amount of lies I'e been told regarding the order.

Youre very welcome @leemobile23

I cannot refute what your saying.

However, From my experience the agents give the information in their line of sight that's available at the time.

Hi just a quick update on the on oing fiasco.

Today I finally got through to c/s and finally got someone who was willing to help and seemed to be being honest. Anyway he' told me there is no stock in the warehouses and none due in any time soon. I asked would I get it before Christmas and was told maybe not. Obviously not wanted to hear but at least someone had the balls to tell it straight.

Now at this point I asked could I change my order for a different handset. Quite simply he said no. So why ?

I was under the impression that if the order had not been fulfilled then I was within my right to amend or cancel ?

@leemobile23 @images4life We do appreciate the feedback you've given, and we understand how eager you must be to get your hands on your new phones.

Due to high demand, Apple are experiencing stock shortages at present and we’re working hard with them to help get your phones to you as soon as possible.

The latest updates on your order will show on our order tracker, and you'll receive further confirmation by email or text closer to your delivery date.

If you did wish to cancel your order @leemobile23, this would extend your delivery time as we'd need to escalate this to our Specialist team and once cancelled, we'd then need to raise a new order.

Hi Leemobile23,

I’m currently going through a similar experience with Vodafone. I’ve been told different things by different advisors. There is very little consistency in their response.

What’s the latest update? Have Vodafone been able to give you a timeframe?

adam.

I'm having the exact same issues. Im told a different date every day. I ordered an Iphone X 64gb grey on the 27/11, was promised it by this week at the latest. Just keeps getting pushed back.

I too have had problems via live chat. Spent nearly 4 hours this week trying to get an answer on delivery dates, still vague non-commital answers. I've lost track of how many people I've spoken to. The worst part, I inputted my email address each time to get a copy of the transcript, none have turned up - obviously as I was complaining they're unable to find a record of it. I was first told to fill a form in to get a copy, the link didn't work, second was told they can't give copies away.

Any ideas?

Complete lies on a daily basis. Vodafone will tell you what you want to hear. I am a business customer for 15 years expecting Vodafone to support my business, however they are just a hiderance with false promises.

Even today they are showing 1-2 weeks delivery, when i. fact Vodafone staff themselves know that Apple are running to a 28 day schedule.

The business team are nice folk but honestly add no value to the organisation because they just route your call somewhere else within the organisation - there is just no ownership.

Total mess and no passion from Vodafone to support the issue...
