YouTube App No Connection [iOS]

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone else experienced an issue using the YouTube app on Vodafone’s network?

When using 3/4G I get no connection when using the app, but using safari to view youtube.com it works fine!

Any ideas folks? I’ve tried everything and can’t figure it out!

Are there any preference settings in the app itself or in the phones settings which might be hindering connection?

I've had that a few times on my iPad using home Wi Fi so whatever the problem is. it isn't a Vodafone issue.

Just bumping this as I still have the issue when using mobile data.

I’ve even removed the app and reinstalled and still have the issue.

No matter what I try, the YouTube app and mobile data will not play nicely together!

@roblawton Do you get an error message when you're attempting to load the YouTube app? If so, please take a screenshot of this so we can see what it says.
Does this only occur when using mobile data, or does the same issue happen when connected to Wi-Fi?

Hi Colleen, thanks for getting back to me.

Its only when I use mobile data, when I’m on WiFi it works without a problem.

Here’s a screenshot to see, it basically says no connection.

You know, I couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

In mobile data settings, YouTube was De-activated!! I’ve had this issue for months and never thought to look there!

Thanks for your help! A fresh pair of eyes on the matter fixed it!!
