iPhone 5C not picking up 3G

In the past week I have upgraded to an IPhone 5c, however since I have had it I've not been able to pick up any 3G connection at all. All that comes up is GPRS but it still does not connect me to the internet. I have tried all variations of resetting the network settings, and the phone itself but the issue remains.
Its not a problem with the area, as I have been around others who are able to pick up 3G. I've tried toggling the 4G switch on and off to see if it made a difference but nothing changed.
