iPhone 7 - Plays random song after calls with headphones in

AFM

I have an iPhone 7 which I use for work.  I make a lot of calls with the headphones in as it frees my hands to type.  However, it has developed an annyin habbit.  Once I hang a call up, the music player kicks in to play a random song.  Can anyone shed any light on this? It's driving me nuts.

Thanks,

That's weird @AFM

I haven't used an iPhone in a while but mine never did that.

Is it the native Apple music player that's doing this or do you have a 3rd party option or spotify etc.

It might be a process of elimination.

An Apple Store Genius Bar employee might also be able to help if you have a store local.

It's the apple music player, seems to do it when someone has called me and not me calling someone.  I'm not exactly a fan of the fruity one but hey ho, this is corporate so no choice.

Usually an apple product just works which is the backbone of the product  :Winking_smiley:

I'd definitely give a Genius Bar a look at it.

Hi @AFM

I have got to admit this had me baffled, you are not the only person with an Apple device having this problem.  There are various threads coming up from Apple Community.  This one describes exactly your problem.
