Hi,

Hopefully an easy question. Please could someone confirm if the R207 mifi is 4G capable?

I'm being told conflicting information.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi @Kwalker1947

For the device to work on 4G, it would need to have bands 800MHz and 2600MHz.

This doesn’t show in the specs on this page – R207 Mobile WiFi

A software update wouldn’t help here, as the device doesn’t have 4G bands available on it.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi there

According to the specs on it, the device doesn't support 4G - it supports 3G.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I just got off the phone with a Vodafone technical specialist and they told me, if I had just ordered a new one it will come out with the new software installed which does support 4G.

I will test it when it arrives.

Hopefully this information might be of help to someone else?

Thanks,

Ken

In addition to what the guys above have said. The R215 is the model that runs 4G, so if you are sent one of those it will work... The R207 is 3G only (even though it is being sold with 4G enabled data plans)

Thanks everyone for the replies. I did think that, it is disappointing that the sales member of staff (and the mobile technical support person) gave the wrong information.

Luckily I cancelled the order and just brought the R215 from a Vodafone shop.

Thanks,

Ken
