International Roaming in Thailand

Is my pay monthly Vodafone number able to receive free text messages and missed calls in Thailand from UK without being charged the £6 a day international roaming fee ? 

£6 a day Roaming in Thailand seems a bit high considering all I wanna do is receive texts and missed calls

To answer your question please refer to the charge checker roaming link in the linked thread where this is mentioned

 

It's always free to receive standard rate calls and texts

 

Providing you just receive calls and there is nothing outgoing to trigger the charge, you won't pay a penny.  Make sure you don't have voicemail activated and have data roaming and mobile data OFF and use WiFi only.

 

If you have an unlocked phone there is always the option of a Thai local SIM.
