Sure Signal not working

Any help appriciated whilst i still have hair left.

Purchased my Sure Signal 3 a few years back for £100 from Vodaphone shop, it worked perfect for around 9-10 months, every now and again I had to press the reset button when all the lights went funny but other than that nothing. It then stopped working did't seem to connect to the network, in the end I gave up, the IP provider I was using at the time was Sky and to be honest the service was not good so I thought that was the reason for none connection. Im now with Virgin so thought I would try the box again and its still the same. The ist light (Red) is on constant the 2nd Light (White jus pulses away constantly, the box does nothing else other than a flickering orange light on the botton. I get the flickering orange light on the rear of the router only. If I log on to my router I can see the sure signal is connected , it has an address and Ive opened several ports that I saw listed in posts onthis eforum, I have also re registered the Sure signal with Vodafone several days ago. But nothing changes still the red lighr and the pulsing white light. HELP PLEASE.

Hi Fuseman,

If you haven't used the Sure Signal for at least 3 months, a bar might have been placed on it.

Extract from the T&C'S ......

If you decide not to use the Sure Signal Service for 3 months (or more) we can suspend, restrict or stop providing the Sure Signal Services (all or part of them) and you’ll still have to pay all charges during any period of restriction or suspension. If we do this, we will, if you ask us to, reconnect the Sure Signal Services unless you’ve not used or registered your Sure Signal Box for 12 months. After this time, if you’ve not registered or used your Sure Signal Box we’ll stop providing the Sure Signal Services and won’t be able to reconnect your Sure Signal Box to the network.

@Fuseman - Due to how long your Sure Signal’s been disconnected, we can’t guarantee it will reactivate.

There are a few things you can try though:

  1. A new ethernet cable
  2. Perform a factory reset (see below)
  3. Try on another connection (at a friend or family members for example)

How to reset your Sure Signal:

  • Connect device to internet and power supply
  • Press and hold down reset button – located near the internet port
  • Wait for 20 seconds
  • Release the reset button
  • All the LEDs will temporarily switch off for about 10 seconds. The power LED will then light up and remain constant whilst white internet LED flashes continuously.

The Sure Signal will be back online in around 1 hour.
