I recently cancelled my phone contract with EE and switched to iD mobile, I happened to check my bank account and have just seen that I have a pending payment from Vodafone for £39. I have never had an account with Vodafone, nor does anything related to my previous or new contract come to £39, so I’m absolutely dumbfounded as to why or how this payment has been taken. I’m currently in contact with my bank about possible fraud and hoping to have the money refunded, but has this happened to anyone else? My direct debit is already set up with iD and my EE direct debit is already cancelled and the account closed, I literally have no clue as to what’s going on and am now super stressed about whether or not I’m going to get this money back.
