Hi nicksjoberg,

As the Sure Signal has never worked with the Home Hub 5, I've put through a resync from our end.

Please follow the steps below to complete the process:

  • Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
  • The VSS should come online within the hour

Thanks,

Matt B

Matt

I assume you mean the reset button on the home hub ?

Nick

Best of luck getting this sorted out - I was having similar issues with a Homehub 5 and Suresignal 2.

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/SureSignal-V2-amp-BT-Homehub5/m-p/1908030#M52513

Vodafone say that it just works, but a number of posters are having the same issues with the Suresignal not connecting.

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Sure-Signal-BT-Home-Hub-5-still-not-working/m-p/...

The only thing that seems to be different is that the Ausus router that I'm using allows IPSec passthrough, but these settings appear to be hidden on the HH5.

It's just incredible that HH5 and Suresignal don't just work, especially as they are both (supposedly) designed for UPNP (universal plug and play).
