AOC

Hello
My sure signal has stopped working. It is Version 2. The red Power light is on. The second light has been flashing for days. I have tried the reset advice on the website but this has not resolved the problem. I can't even call 191 as I have no phone reception at all. Please help.

Hi @AOC

The serial number is showing as invalid. Please can you double check this?

Your download and uploads speeds are too low to support the Sure Signal. I'd recommend speaking with your internet service provider to increase these.

Thanks,

Sukhi

serial no is : 40111116642

@AOC

Your traceroute looks fine and I can see the Sure Signal is registered and connected.

The internet speeds are a concern as these would support the information required for the Sure Signal to function.

Please speak with your ISP to see if there's anyway these can be increased.

Dave, sorry but cannot see how you say the traceroute is ok, seeing that it never actually got to the device IP address that the traceroute was run to.  I did a control c to break the trace route as the * ( to my understandings) indicate lost packets. Also we have been using the Suresignal at these or similar sppeeds and they were working for the past 3 years, so I do not see how increasing these would change why the suresignal box is not working. Surely the bandwidth required to pass voice codecs ( and or signalling) would not be greater than 100kbps and an upload speed of .22Mbps shodul be able to handle this. I may be useful if you have other Suresignal users connected to our CO and see if they are experiencing any similar problems, otherwise, it does not make any sense to continue paying for a service that is not meeting our requirement, and we can then also change provider to a company that has better coverage in this area.
