If I change my order from 7 plus jet black to matt black will that make a difference?

I considered a colour change a few years ago but in the end decided to sit tight and wait for a space grey to turn up. By the sound of things there's big demand across the board and it could just end up putting you at the back of another queue.

The jet black does seem to be on delay so changing could speed things up yes. 

However they'd have to cancel the first order for the jet black variant and start again.

No, you will be at the back of the queue if you do that.

Also supplies of the Matt Black are just as constrained from what I've seen on the Macrumors forums.

@loyalman It is highly unlikely that a change will speed thing up.

For starters there is no definitive date when either of the colours will be in stock and more importantly changing your order will put you at the back of a queue that nobody can say is how long.

No, I wouldn't advise doing that as it would put you to the back of another queue, all colours are in high demand.

I would recommend sticking it out and waiting for your desired colour.
