unlock south african wifi router R206-Z

Hi

above  router bought 2014 in cape town from vodacom 3g store tyger valley.

i need to unlock this router please. tried using vodafone uk unlocking form but says not bought from vodafone.

vodafone/vodacom all same group surely? why does south africa vodacom not offer same facility as vodafone uk?

tried calling above store, they ignorant of unlocking procedure like uk has.

tried calling customer services in south africa, same situation, they ignorant of unlocking procedure that uk has.

frustrated, please help to get router unlocked.

You are going to need to persevere with Vodacom, they are a different company and network.  Vodafone UK would only be able to unlock a device that was locked to the UK network.

vodacom south africa are a nightmare to deal with. they so behind the times there with technology sadly.
