Can anyone advise how I can update the firmware on a Vodafone Mobile r216 device

When I log in the Mobile router address (192.168.0.1) and go to Diagnostics and then Device Update, it says I am at 'Current Device Version 4.3' but when i click the 'Check' for updates it says 'Not possible to check for updates at this time'. Which seems to be all the time. Can anyone help please?
