Credit file shattered for 12.41

Hi all,

I hope you are well.

I will cut to the chase, a balance of 12.41 has been owing on my account for a couple of months without me knowing. I come to learn of it when I actually received a letter telling me it has been sent to a DCA (debt collection agency). The balance has now been paid, like I say, had no idea.

The issue here is, they have defaulted my credit file, and whilst I am in the middle of purchasing a home, this has left me in a spot of bother to say the least, with a wife and a 2 year soon to be made homeless unless I can get this sorted.

Where do I stand here, like I say, letter dated 26th Aug received on the 2nd September, balance of 12.41 owing, has now been paid but Vodafone straight out refused to remove the default. I would understand if it was £700 and what not, but I have been a customer for well over 12 years, paid bills on time, never missed a penny, even when I run up a £200 bill for using Youtube to listen to one song over and over.

Please help as I am pulling my hair out and the stress is taking over to the point, I'm in panic mode and have no idea what to do.

Thank you,

J

The Vodafone Social Media Teams have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who can look if the default is indeed warranted or not @JayGa89

Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.

If they find it warranted then the default will remain in place for 6 years.

You may have to shop around fkr a mortgage company that'll accept your application.

I wish you all the best.  😎
