Hi,
Im just trying to set up the app on my pixel 6 pro, but after putting in a user name and password it asks for a pin, when entering any number the app will instantly crash and not let me get any further. Ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and still have the same problem.

Hi,
Im a new user, but the app just crashes on my new phone (pixel 6 pro) when typing any number at the point it asks for a pin. Ive installed the app on my old phone and can enter a pin on there no problem. I guess this my be an issue with the newest version of android 12?

I have got exactly the same problem on my Pixel 6. However, it have started with Pixel 5 after September update. I have contacted technical team, was redirected to different people, chats, emails and no resolution. I gave up on the idea of having MyVodafone after a week of chats and emails.
I was being send standard troubleshoot steps when I told them I went through them. Then my phone was blamed not having enough storage or being to old ( Pixel 5, lol). Then I was asked for screenshot with the error message, when I explained there no error message. So I recorded my screen and send them the video file, they can't open it. That's why I gave up.

I would guess that this is an Android 12 issue. Google releases new OS versions to Pixel devices earlier than anywhere else and it often catches app developers on the hop. Updates have caused issues with My Vodafone in the past, but this was addressed by getting ahead of the curve and we haven't seen much recently. I'll raise this with the Mods here.

I'm getting the same issue with my new Pixel 6 (not pro). Any time I try to log in, username and password goes through OK but when it asks me to enter a PIN, it comes up with the 4x3 number keyboard. It can sit at the screen for as long as it likes, you can select any text field you like (one for each number), but the instant you tap any number on the keyboard the app crashes. Have gone through all the standard troubleshooting steps like OP but to no avail.

It would be nice if Vodafone fixed the issue where if you had previously set a PIN it asked you for it, instead of setting a new PIN every time you log in.

AFAIK, it only asks for confirmation if you access the account side of things. You can also set a biometric option.
You do sometimes have to redo your login after a major update, though.

The app has never asked for confirmation of the PIN when changing device or logging out/in, it always asks to set a PIN, even if you have one already.
