I have wifi turned off yet i can see 2 unsecured SSID's BrcmAP0 & BrcmAP1 which connect to my fibre router, how?
i cant find them on the router to enable security, so why are they appearing?
I can see the devices connected to my router on the homepage of my router settings.
i dont want people connecting to my network via these open SSID's.

@gotmygoodelf It could be your neighbour or a mobile phone hotspot, are you sure that they are your router? These are SSIDs from a Broadcom WiFi chipset which is common across many devices. Which router are you using, Vodafone or one you purchased yourself?

the vodafone router powerhub, when i connect to them one is 5ghz and the other is 2.4ghz both on my subnet. i have changed the subnet of my router and the subnet of the SSID's changes too. both SSID's are unsecured, i not seen a foreign device connect yet but have made my PCs undiscoverable to hope that helps. how easy is it to use another dual band router i having laying around? i assume i can just plug in the ONT to my WAN port and i`m done?

A lot of smart devices open their own Access Point for setup access should the wifi go down - Google Nest Hubs are a great example. Whilst most will transmit an a identity a lot of cheaper devices transmit strings that identify the chipset.
Turn everything off until you find the device and take note for the future

I think someone at Vodafone has misconfigured your router. There may be more going on beyond just this. You'll need to contact Vodafone Support and report this

It is highly unlikely the Vodaphone Power Hub is broadcasting these SSID's.
Have you tried factory resetting the Power Hub? If you switch off the Power Hub, do they disappear?
