Has anyone else had experience of this annoying problem ? Iv'e recently had a different router installed due to a contract upgrade. I am now getting random drop outs throughout the day. This takes the internet & my home phone down whilst the system resets. Very annoying as my desktop is connected via a cable & does not have wi fi connectivity. Any idea of a possible cause ? My mobile phones wi fi does not drop out when this occurs..............help

Hi @106clint Thanks for posting! We understand how frustrating drop outs can be so our Broadband Team are on hand to help. You can start by checking the status of your broadband through your My Vodafone account. I'd also recommend contacting the Tech Team directly by calling 191 free from a Vodafone mobile or 03333 040 191 from any other phone (standard charges apply).

Hi Janey, thanks for your comments. It's now 2 months since I posted my original query & I want to let you know what has happened since. I am still getting the daily dropouts so I contacted Vodafone technical  on 29th May  & spoke for 13 minutes. I was told that after a couple of tests done over the internet that I should leave things for a day or 2  to settle & make contact again. I spoke to Vodafone technical  on 1st June for 18 minutes where I was told aanother test was needed & I would be contacted again in 2 days time & it looked like I needed a replacement router. . No one contacted me as promised so I telephoned Vodafone technical again on 10t June. I spoke to a different technician & I was on the phone for almost 2 hours. After explaining what had gone on before, I asked if he could see the notes left on the system by the previous technician. He couldn't see any notes & proceeded to instruct me to remove all cables from router & wait. Then plug cables in then wait. Then remove faceplate from master socket & plug back in & wait. He instructed me to leave the router plugged into the master socket without the faceplate & leave for 24 hours. He rang back after 27 hours & told me my wi fi booster was too close to the router & could I move it away by 2 metres & wait. Then told it was too far away & move it closer. This went on for what seemed ages until he was satisfied that it was correctly positioned. I proceeded to explain that the router had dropped out again the previous day but he said that it was good considering I was on a copper line & that is only to be expected & that as far as he was concerned that's the best I could expect. Here we are a few days later & still the router is dropping out. Can you give me one good reason why I should continue paying for a sub standard set up ? Why oh why have I not been given a replacement router ?

Best Regards

Clinton Harley
