Slow speeds, packetloss and ping increase as of today on cityfibre/gigafast

Please have someone escalate this beyond forums. There's clearly an issue introduced recently, infact for me it happened about 7:30am. Here's my ping graph showcasing it

This is a gigafast 500/500 through cityfibres network in peterborough

Here's proof it has been fine for a month until today

Heres a selection of current speed test of my 500/500

and some pretty annoying packetloss...

I have restarted my ONT and Router several times and every time the same behaviour through multiple devices. Juding by some other posts on this forum this is an issue thats widespread.

Same issue Bournemouth / CityFibre.  Huge packet loss.

Seems like this is a backend issue on someones part. Spoke with voda chat and naturally they find no issues on the line. If I speedtest to a vodafone server everything appears fine. Hit a speedtest to any other server outside of vodafones network and my speeds are awful.

Got referred to step 2 support but have to wait for a call from them. Hopefully someone else higher up at vodafone/cityfibre is already aware of this and looking to fix it, we can only hope.

Good to know I'm not alone.

I'm paying for 500Mb (Gigafast Fibre) and currently getting 2Mb in Milton Keynes

Now fixed for me.

Can confirm it appears to be resolved.

Would be nice if there was a way vodafone could provide details of things like this. Its not an insignificant amount of time. Maybe a service status page they could update when there are problems?..

I guess its back....

Id contact support but if its fixed in 12hours again before i get a callback 2 days later from 2nd level support its kinda pointless.

This certainly looks like a vodafone to everyone else network issue considering vodafone servers on speedtest work fine, which is also probably why tech support can never find a fault on the line. Heres the thing though vodafone, you arent the internet and I need to be able to connect to the rest of it at a decent speed...

Hmm.  Interestingly, I can't reproduce this time:

Interesting as its still awful for me.

Ping spikes noticable over the last 2 hours

cr4zy_0-1647295680551.png

Dropping 10-25% of packets on pings.

I dont know if this is scheduled work over the past week but how this has occured twice in less than 7 days with no service outages mentioned and vodafone support beliving my connection is fine because they dont test the line outside of their network (what lmao?)

looks like it might work again this morning. The 10 hours of unusable internet for a second time however is not good enough when neither of these issues are claimed to exist by Vodafone.

I'm very much hoping this doesn't happen again in the next 5 days.
