We are trying to set up call diversion from a UK landline to my mobile, both on Vodafone. I have followed the steps on the vodafone help page here:
however I receive the error :
'The service requested is not available. Thank you for calling, please hang up.'
I spoke to Vodafone technical this afternoon who said the problem is we are on a copper connection however I cant see any similar cases about this being a problem for other people.
Is this a known problem with no possible solution?

I suspect, as usual for Vodafone, those instructions are only for setting up diversion from a mobile.
I honestly think Vodafone forget they also provide broadband and landline too.

I have tried a couple of other codes from basic internet searches as well as the phones in built call diversion function but all result in the same error message.
I do think the issue comes down to the phone line but want to clarify if it's a problem which can be resolved by Vodafone/another provider or as they say 'you can't forward calls when you are using a copper phone line'

From my experience if you have Fibre to the Premises(FTTP) Broadband and Digitial Voice Landline with Vodafone no calling features including Call Divert are available. This I discovered after moving from BT where these calling features were included at no extra charge. Vodafone don't seem to have any interest in providing these features either from any conversations I have had with them.
However if you have standard Broadband and phone line and pay a monthly fee call divert is available. Seems that with Vodafone modern technology is not progress but rather a backward step.

so it looks as though I may have to try another provider to get the option of divert, our contract is up so this is an option.
I have noticed the call management features as an optional extra in the app but get another error if I try adding these to my package
