There is no reason the SIM won't work in your device, @Rip you are going to need the enter the APN settings on the device. See here under setting up SIM Getting Started
The SIM will activate when it makes a connection to the network, if you have an unlocked phone, you put the SIM in a phone and make a chargeable connection to activate the SIM.
