No or very slow 4G throughput in Bracknell RG12 9AJ Larges Bridge Drive

JackRussell
4: Newbie

There’s 4 bars of signal but no throughput of data what so ever. Issue started today both a friend an I experience the same issue independently several times today. 4G works fine in other areas of Bracknell

Hey @JackRussell Thanks for sending those details over. I've checked all three of the masts surrounding you;

- 76791

- 76546 (The mast you are connected to)

- 82572

There are no issues or downtime on any of the cells. There is however scheduled maintenance for October and November on all 3 sites which is to improve the quality and capacity of the network in the area.

As there is no evidence to suggest a network issue currently, we will need you to fill n the Network Queries Template and provide 3 screenshots of your speeds over the next 24 hours which show the time the tests were run. Please run the tests on speedtest.net

Once we have all of this information we can look into raising a network case so our engineers can investigate the masts and cells in more detail.

Thank You Nixxx for validating my reports going back a whole year.

So Vodafone here’s your challenge, I look forward to you resolving the slow data in the CellID of this thread.

ALL the information you need to start your own internal checks of this issue is present in the thread.

It's disappointing to hear that you're both @Nixxx @JackRussell experiencing an issue with your 4G connection. To make sure that we're on the same page and to prevent repetition, have either of you reached out to our Social Media team as suggested by Robyn, or would you prefer to proceed on the Community?

I have endured the same issue in egham, for years now, the signal is getting worse yet all Vodafone do is direct you to their fraudulent coverage checker and insist there is no problem to resolve. I’ve had enough of their terrible service and am having  to change network.

"fraudulent", now there's a word you really want to be careful using. 😁

Depends what the actual problem is. Coverage checkers are a prediction of coverage levels in a given location.

They don't predict data speeds, which many users confuse with "I don't have signal"

@japitts The Ookla Android speed app also has a coverage map. It's got a good level of zoom but depends on users having the app a bit like Waze does for road conditions.

Am aware of Ookla, as with numerous other similar sites.

Like I mentioned, "coverage" can mean different things to different people.
