Dreamlab app performance issues

I’m running the Dreamlab app on both my Oneplus 8T Android phone with the Snapdragon 865 chip, and my new ipad pro 2024 with the M4 chip. The M4 chip is roughly 3 times faster than the snapdragon 865 chip in general, but when running the same project in the dreamlab app on both devices, my Oneplus 8T completes arund 4 times more tasks every hour than my M4 ipad pro.

Why is this happening? Is the app just way better optimized on Android than iOS, or is it an issue on my end for some reason?
Also, both Android, iOS, and the apps are fully updated, with all power saving features disabled, so that’s at least not the issue.

@Kasdashd  It's very unlikely anyone here will know. The Android and iOS systems may prioritise background tasks differently and give them different amounts of memory. The two versions of the App may be written differently. On the Play Store there is a published email address under "App Support", why don't you send them an email?

I have, multiple times, but it’s only feedback, so I can’t get an answer from them, and it’s a long time ago now, and they still haven’t fixed the issue. And I’ve used cpu usage measure apps while running dreamlab, and the utilization is terrible. The app should utilize the cpu 100%, like benchmarking tools/apps and BOINC and Folding@Home on computers do. So annoying to have such a powerful device, the M4 ipad pro, with a cpu much more powerful than my desktop PC, only for it to be underutilized to heavily, and especially for something like dreamlab, that’s a lot of compute power not being used for the different projects…

@Kasdashd Well I can't really think what else to say. As a fellow BOINC bod Seti@Home and MilkyWay@Home I can only sympathise.

Hello

The performance discrepancy between your OnePlus 8T and iPad Pro M4 likely stems from the app's optimization for Android over iOS, or potential software-related issues on the iPad. Even with a much faster M4 chip, app efficiency can vary across platforms due to differences in how Android and iOS handle processes. It's also possible that the app isn't fully utilizing the M4 chip's power or there might be background processes affecting its performance.
