The Galaxy Note 7 looks great, but despite the recent hype and all its cutting edge features and technology, it still isn’t the fastest handset around – that’s according to a recent speed test against the iPhone 6S.
The Galaxy Note 7 was only launched earlier this month by the South Korean tech giant and is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, processor with 4GB of RAM appearing far more powerful that the older iPhone 6S.
The 6S features a dual-core A9 processor and just 2GB of RAM but still managed to outperform the Samsung when it came to the Galaxy Note 7 vs iPhone 6S speed test.
As part of the test, both of the smartphones were made to launch the same apps.
Despite the Note 7 beating the iPhone 6S in terms of hardware, Samsung’s latest flagship was defeated by the iPhone 6S, even though the Apple device is more than a year old.
During the test, the iPhone 6s was easily able to open 14 apps, including a video, in one minute and 21 seconds, much quicker than the Galaxy Note 7, which took more than two minutes to complete the same test.
In addition, the iPhone 6s successfully managed two laps of the speed test in one minute and 51 seconds whilst the Galaxy Note 7 took two minutes and 49 seconds.
