Excerpt from the above link...."Internet overload has led millions of people in the UK to take a "digital detox", according to research from regulator Ofcom.
The survey found 34% of internet users have taken between a period of up to a month away from the web.
Some 59% of those surveyed considered themselves hooked on their devices, with a third saying they found it difficult to disconnect.
Half said that they spent longer online than originally intended each day.

My thoughts. 

 

Well i think I fall into the category of spending lots of my time online. Things are so attached to being online nowadays it's hard not to.

 

I engage with my grown up children a lot through iMessage which requires being connected to data as we exchange pictures to also using Facebook a lot too which is a good way of seeing new pictures of my two Grandchildren to using FaceTime as just a couple of examples. 

 

Commuting to work just now on the Bus there are 10 people here and 7 are on various smartphones and 1 is on a tablet.
