Stupid unnecessary account reminder phone calls.

I am trying to stop totally unnecessary 'reminder' phone calls about my account. Each month I receive and email and a phone call reminding me that the money for my broadband/landline account, is about to be taken from my account by direct debit. The sms and email messages are ok, I just ignore the. However the phone reminders are to my landline through BT Messenger service. There is no way to tell who the message is from, so it has to be responded to. If the message isn't responded to, then it keeps coming back. until it is acknowledged. My wife is disabled and finds it difficult to get to the phone when I am not around. As we have a broad family, with their own health problems, phone calls cannot be ignored. I have spoken to Vodafone numerous times to explain my position and get the totally unnecessary phone calls stopped. They say they will be stopped, but they keep on coming. I am afraid that one day my wife will be seriously injured responding to what is in effect, a nuisance phone call. I spoke to an agent this morning who did not seem to appreciate my problem. Does anyone else have a similar problem, or know how to stop the calls ?

I only get the SMS to mobile and an email, definately nothing to my landline.

If you check in your settings it has a contact number and an alternative. Mine has the mobile as the main and the landline as the alternative, I wonder if you have them round the other way?

I have just done as you suggested. We will have to see what happens next month. Many thanks for your advice.  Have a nice Christmas.
