Vodafone Germany did a couple of resets on my gigabit modem a couple of times last month for "reasons" known only to Vodafone itself, so I had to reopen the ports I needed, and I just noticed something new : there is a service called "Teredo ". it points UDP traffic on port 53133 toward the device with the IP4 address ending in 252 on my LAN. I can not delete nor disable it, and I tried resetting the port forwarding rules, but it just reappears
Fun thing is : I don't have any device with that IP address, and nmap doesn't seem to find anything neither.
Anybody knows what's that's supposed to be? https://vlc.onl
I might have to check what happens if I switch the modem to bridge mode, just because Vodafone's lack of respect for its non-commercial customers is really ##~## me off.

Teredo is a technology often used during the migration to IPv6, and can be implemented in a variety of ways. If you don't already have IPv6 then it's probable that Vodafone Germany is looking to start the switchover. So the device that you are seeing is probably a virtual device setup on the router. As to the port being open, yup any open port can be a concern, but to anything other than the teredo virtual device (I'm not going to abbreviate that to VD) it's pretty much a sink hole!
In other words - DON'T PANIC!
