I'm currently on big value bundle and my phone is more than capable of making/receiving video calls and the people I'm trying to call with all have phones that can make/receive video calls yet every contact on my phone has the video option greyed out. I have data, but it doesn't even allow me to do so over my wifi either. and even 'Call' is fine, 'message 'is fine but 'video' is greyed out. If I drop a mate's sim into the second slot (PAYG on EE) video calls are instantly available.
Why is this, can we not make video calls on Vodafone PAYG?

The only thing I can find for PAYG @Crocwyrhta is video messaging at 45p per messaging on the T & C's here PAYG Charges not quite what you are looking for and it looks like video calling is unavailable on PAYG. If available it would be very expensive, I know for pay monthly Vodafone charge 55p per minute as out of bundle.
A good workaround would be to use WhatsApp, Facebook messenger or one of the other applications, this way you would be able to use your data allowance, or WiFi connection to make the video call.
edited to add: It's strange you are able to video call on EE, @Crocwyrhta This is taken from the EE support page
Please be aware that video calling uses more data than voice calls.'

I appreciate that Video Calls are useful and in my opinion should be available if the account holder needs the feature, and is willing to pay any subsequent charges @Crocwyrhta
Not everyone wants to use 3rd party social media apps so it's not always an option.
If this feature is a deal breaker for you and ee give a good signal and data speeds where you reside, commute and work then you may want to consider asking Vodafone for a Pac to move your number over to ee so you can then use the features you want / need.
