I used to live in Australia for 5 years or more but left Australia for America in 2022. I try to remember to recharge my Australian phone number but recently I forgot to do so and got my number disconnected. As I tried to order a sim for my friend and activate it on my end in America, I found Vodafone could not verify my passport. I double-checked with the passport issuing agency (government in my home country) and myVEVO, both my foreign passport (which I used to get the visa) and Australian visa are valid. What could ever go wrong and how to solve the problem?

You won't get any help or support here @KUDASAI , it's Vodafone UK help and support only. Try Vodafone Australia, they will be your provider and have the necessary account access.
