Hi all,
In the past I had an internetinthecar plan from Vodafone which cost £100 for 100GB with a one year expiry, which seemed like a pretty fair deal. It then wasn't possible to buy any internetinthecar plans in the UK for about a year/18 months due to some system issues (amazing it was allowed to be off-line), but now you can buy plans again.
Now there are only two options: 2GB per month for £15/month and 30GB per month for £26. The £15 option equates to £7.50/GB which seems like an outrageous price, while £26 per month seems like way too much just to add a data plan in your car. These plans are good for in-car WiFi allowing the integrated music/radio streaming to work, keep people entertained on long journeys, etc.
It seems to me like Vodafone are pricing this at completely the wrong levels, and I can't justify buying a plan at all when I can simply hotspot off a regular phone if I need to, which is annoying as the car capabilities were actually pretty useful.
Does anyone else feel the same way or was I the lone user of this internetinthecar service ? !
And please could anyone from Vodafone in the community please flag this to whomever is responsible for the product.
Many thanks
Andrew
