I have contacted live support 3 times to activate conference callling but it still does not work, despite them saying it is active, to switch the phone off, remove the sim, wait 10 mins, then switch back on.
I have an Samsung S9+.
Only once was the button to 'Add a call' enabled suring a call. I phoned someone else, pressed merge calls and it failed.
Now the button to add a call is not even active, so I can not even press it.
Every time I speak to support they are convinced they have solved the issue and it will all be ok - it is not.
What is the problem?! This is surely a run of the mill feature. I moved from O2 as they were useless as well, please dont tell me Vodafone are no better.
Fingers crossed for an answer!

This can be addressed by the forum team along with your age restriction issue. I don't use it and, TBH, I wasn't aware it was something that had to be activated in advance - I thought you just set the calls up when you need to.

Hi @callLots
You can also add calls by tapping 2 to put the first call on hold and calling the next number. There is further information on this below.
How do I set up Conference calling?
However, if there are still issues, give the Team time to get to the thread and they will get your conference calling working and address any other issues.

If you tap any number while on a call it just sends the tone down the line.
I can not see how this should work?
There is a specific button to add a call on the screen of the phone durung a call, just like the speakerphone button or the mute button. It is disabled and can not be pressed. It needs to be active to add another call and eventually merge the calls together.

@callLots We're happy to have a look into this for you further. Please send us your details via the private message I've sent you.

We have had the same problem with technical support team recently. The problem we reported is that a second phone linked to the primary phone on the account via a pay monthly contract will not work correctly when trying to use it to instigate a conference call. The primary phone works perfectly and enables us to add in other contacts and merge the calls successfully. However if you try and instigate the conference call from the second phone attached to the account it will not let you add additional contacts and merge the calls it just fails.
Our thought process is that only the main account holder is permitted to activate a conference call but we want a categorical undertaking that this is the case before we consider splitting the phones on to 2 separate accounts - can anyone help please ?

@GRSAYERS The second phone that you're using, have you checked to see the phone is compatible for initiating conference calls on the network? Also have you had this enabled/provisioned on your account, for the second phone too?

The answer to the first question is yes as we are both using iPhone 7’s and the main account holders phone has no problem in operating conference calls. The second point you ask about is that despite having had lengthy conversations with both your customer services department and technical team who have stated that they have now activated the facility on the 2nd phone it still does not allow the merging of calls when trying to set up a conference call .
This has led us to believe that a secondary phone attached to the main account is not permitted to generate conference calls in their own right and we just want Vodaphone to either acknowledge that point or fix the problem without further delay .
Thank you

@GRSAYERS Was the change made by our Customer Service/Tech done recently? If so, you may need to just restart your phone. This will allow a fresh connection to the network and allow any configurations/provisions to complete.

No it was a while ago and we were asked to do that at that stage which proved no success . Perhaps vodaphone could stage a simulated test with two iPhones connected to one primary account and try to perform a conference call to validate your understanding that the secondary phone can make a conference call and merge calls successfully and it works ?
We need to know by next week before we decide on whether to continue with the roll over of our current contract arrangement with you .
Thank you
