Missed Calls .

I missed a important call the other day because Vodafone classed it as spam, I got the usual text message from Vodafone about a missed call and to deactivate it dial 121 and go to Mailbox Settings.

I have a Google Pixel 5, how do I stop this from happening again ?

I'd rather get all calls and decide myself whether or not to take it.

Thanks.

Hi @152bobby

There is a setting on the phone call settings for spam guard, make sure this is off.

Vodafone cannot decide the calls they will connect or reject, all incoming calls will be forwarded to the phone.  There is a voicemail service for slam down notifications, this is for when someone reaches your voicemail and hangs up.

It's possible that the ring time was too short for the phone to be answered.  You can change how long the phone rings before being answered here: How do I change the length of time before a call goes to voicemail?

I've found a option named Spam Protection, so I have turned this off and I'll see how it goes.

In regards to the ring time, this set for a long time and I was sitting waiting on this call, it didn't ring,  all I got was the text saying go to voicemail settings, as I missed a call.  I also checked to see if there was a actual message left and there wasn't.

I'll see how this goes, thanks.

If you got a missed call notification, it would have hit your phone somehow.   Some known spam callers are blocked, but that's based on origin rather than content (obviously, because no one knows what's in a voice call before it's happened).

People have reported their phone not ringing and it's always a dificult one to diagnose.   In some cases, it may hvae taken longer to connect and the caller hung up before the connection had completed.
