Sending multi recipient SMS - says feature not activated

Just put in new SIM. Can't send a multi recipient SMS. Says service not activated on network.

The best way to send multiple SMS is by using the Google Messaging Application here: Messages .  This will use your data allowance.

For the Vodafone standard messages check you have the correct message centre number, this is +447785016005.

You should be able to select groups from your gmail account.

It was an account configuration issue but that's a good solution too.
