If you're suddenly having problems with multiple apps crashing, there's a fix.
You simply need to update Android System Web View (if installed and enabled) and Chrome. Nothing more.

spent all day trying to update webview with no luck do you delete chrome first and re install?

On some of my devices, Webview has been disabled and can't be re-enabled or updated. If this is the same for you, updating Chrome only should fix the problem.
