WhatsApp and messenger blocked on wifi

Everytime I use WhatsApp or messenger it is blocked by wifi and has to use mobile data. I have Vodafone for wifi and mobile. Any ideas how to fix this?

Take a look at the support faq pages for the apps / services your having issues with as they may hold some troubleshooting you haven't yet tried.

I assume everything else via Wi-Fi connection works fine  ?

I haven't seen permissions being that granular on Android.   However, it would be worth trying on another network (any will do) to see whether it works there.   If it does, then it's an issue with your home wifi.   If not, it's something to do with the phone setup (though I can't sere what).
