Activating free payg tablet sim

I am trying to activate the free payg tablet sim i ordered for my motorola xoom.  I am a bit confused as it says on the card the sim was on to call 17298 to activate the sim but i dont have phone facility on the tablet.  I have tried topping it up via the tablet to see if that would work but nothing.  I am probably over looking something really simple but please help !!

Same here, Lenovo ThinkPad. I've got the Sim in and it has a signal, but no data connection. Can't topup following the vodaphone instructions as there's no data. Can't do it over Wi-Fi as the website keeps telling mere there's a technical problem preventing me topping up (for over a week).

Not good...

Just tried calling but everyone at Vodaphone goes home at 8...

Hi. I have the same problem using k3770 and using and non blocked handset. So far the only thing I have managed to get is the SIM "mobile" number. So, how can get this thing working and topping up from the device I need to connect to the V data net.? Thanks.

Please help I got a lenovo tablet and it says sim needs activating how do I do it
