Any update on static IP address availability?

As subject really.

T&C's say that you can apply for a static IP address at no extra cost. A number of months ago this feature was reported as "temporarily unavailable".

Just wondered if the service has been re-instated? If anyone has managed to get one within the last couple of months (since I last asked)?

I would try finding out myself - however attempts to get through on the phone have failed and my online experience....unfortunately it would appear your front-line staff are not aware of what a static IP is.

 

As a side note - I really don't accept the whole "temporarily unavailable". If someone from Vodafone wants to tell me that this feature has now been withdrawn, well at least it would stop me having to ask every month or so.

You can request who know about STATIC IP address. I found Vodafone term and condition they updated on May 2017. You are eligible to get static IP address free of charge. But when I called them they told me I need to switch Home broadband to business broadband to get static IP address. I uploaded proof that Home broadband user are eligible. 

I will try again with proof if my broadband goes live.

Hi,

Thanks for the post. If you manage to get the static IP please do report back. I too was told that I had to switch to business to get this feature, and I too had to point them to their own T&C's to show this isn't the case!
