Hi to everybody,
I'm writing from Italy because I have a problem with BIS account on blackberry bold 9700. I bought it on ebay and I have no problem with calls and wifi, the MEPD panel says that I have all unlocked. But when I try to register a new account on BIS of my italian carrier (WIND) it says that my account is suspended or deactivated. The Wind call center told me that I have a problem with my phone that is locked, suspended and to contact the last carrier to unlock it. I'm sure Vodafone UK is the vendor. Please, can you help me?
Thank you very much
Giuseppe

I appreciate your frustration and would love to be able to assist, unfortunately we would require this to be requested through the original owner and I am unable to do this otherwise.
Please contact the seller and ask them to contact us and we will be able to assist you further.

I bought the blackberry on ebay platform from pixmania uk. They have no idea about previous owner. Can I give you pin and imei to verify if the blackberry is associated with Vodafone uk carrier. Is it impossible to unlock this association without previous owner??? Could I use my blackberry over internet one day? Please help me....

Hi lepergoletorte
Thanks for your post here. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you but unfortunately we are unable to do this without the previous owner. We can however, take a look and see if it is registered on the Vodafone network, in which case you shouldn’t experience any problems.
I’ll send you an email over to the email address that you registered with. All you need to do is hit reply and fill in all of the information, including the PIN and IMEI of your BlackBerry. We’ll then get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks
Wayne

I'm having similar trouble having just bought a BB 9900 which I'm told needs it's PIN to be released by Vodafone. Would you mind checking whether this could be released please? Is there any official guidance anywhere regarding this as it must be a common problem?
Many thanks,
David
