Hi,
This isn't perfect but a lot better than standard. It works on BB10.
Set up a new contact I use one I called ZZ Don't pick up - I use ZZ so it's at the end of my list. Set the contact's ringtone to silent and vibrate to off in the settings menu.
When you get a nuisance call don't answer it; check it with Google or similar. If a nusance call, then long toutch the number; the right hand menu pops out toutch the new +contact icon; it will send you to the contacts list; select ZZ Don't pick up and it will add the number to this contact. Do this for every nuisance call and you'll build up a list in there.
When one of these calls you'll get no sound or vibrate. You will get notified but you can ignor as it will be ZZ Don't pick up. It works for me....

This system is working well; it's intercepted 10 bogus calls in the last few days.
I currrently have 11 nuisance callers listed in my contact; they won't be bothering me again.

Nice. Keep em going. I'd like there to be a list of known nuisance caller numbers, we could add a bunch at once. I looked but couln't find one. If I do come accross one I'll let you know.

You're right, if it comes through as "Unknown number" this technique dosn't work. But you can aways ignore these calls anyway. The telemarketing industry dosn't like using "Unknown number" as many people will just ignore them. For numbered accounts it works great....

Hi folks,
@rover95 - Thanks for sharing your tip! It's great to see other members of the community getting use out of it too.
@MrDJ - Have a quick look at our guide for dealing with nuisance callers.
Cheers,
Ben

the nuicence call guide is no use to me Ben.
my personal phone is also used for emergency life responce call in a hospital and calls can either come from doctors mobiles or via the switch board which of course shows no numbers. when you have a 4 minute window you dont really have time to faf around.
having no number show normally means a switch board call so you are already away from whatever you are doing and running and then to hear while you are listening to the call that "this is microsoft and you have a virus on your computer" or you have had an accident in last year and we are here to help" all from indian call centres with no numbers showing what can we do.
