Calll scrambles then drops

Since joining Vodafone my phone calls suddenly make a scrambling sound (like a tape playing fast) and then the call drops.  I have been with Vodafone for only a couple of weeks and my iPhone SE is about 6 months old and have never had this problem before,  Any ideas/suggestions.

Hi Gemma, thanks for the great offer. I've just moved home (from the Isle of Wight to Letchworth) so I guess it would be sensible to see if it still happens here first - just to confirm it was nothing to do with my location. If it still happens here it would be great to try another phone.
