My curiosity got the better of me and so as I could find secure folder on my s7
I searched for it on Samsung apps and it said update.which means it must of had some sort of file on my device but even do a search using the phones built in tool said nothing there.
Any I pressed update thinking that may be one reason why i am having problems but it made no difference
So in the settings of secure folder it has an uninstall option so I pressed it and it has gone
But when I go in to the app store it says update again and not install
Can any one explain this
Because I thought uninstall means what it should mean for every other app
Solved! Go to best answer.

Thanks BANDOFBROTHERS
I tried you suggestion and your instinct was correct.
If I slide the tray in the play store to the right
you get the list and on my apps you get your installed, updates ,and your history,
and it is in none of them yet when I go into Samsung it's not I'n my apps and no update unless I search for it with data on just type it into search bar secure folder and that's one the of the 2 ways I can find it .
with data and a search onit will show up in Samsung apps that is the only way it will show but always as an update.
I've no idea but there is a review were send one else is saying they can not
Uninstall
The only explanation I can think of is the branded and unbranded version may be the latter are the only ones who can uninstall fully!I
Still sounds strange
Thanks for idea though learnt some thing new doing that.

Hi
Not sure if this is the full answer but when a person uninstalls an App on their phone it's still in your My Apps in Google Play. If a person then navigates to that area and presses the 'x' it should remove it from there too.
I did have Secure Folder on my s7 edge and removed it successfully by following the steps.
Current Phone >
Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

Hi Skyman513,
You can uninstall sercure folder but you must first deactivate it's administration rights via your phone's settings. Try this go to settings applications look for sercure folder uninstall updates you should receive a warning saying you must deactivate sercure folders administration rights click the deactivate button another screen should pop up with a last of apps that has administrator rights remove tick from sercure folder you should now be able to uninstall it.

No it's still there somewhere but the only way I know it's even there, is if I go into the Samsung app store and do a search and rather than come up as uninstall or install sure it says update which means there must be some sort of residue file (probably not technically correct) the only other option is to put it back on my phone and follow your steps because
interestingly I didn't get anything ask for administrative rights either at beginning or end. Or any warnings as I am aware every time I change my Samsung password (which is every time I log in) it always warns you to uncheck reactivation lock which is I THINK similar to administrative rights (I would love to be a fly on the wall when they come up with these different names of invasions of privacy)
That's the only way I think is to update and follow your instructions that way and just make sure i follow any on screen prompts
Thanks for your timed buddy✌

Literally spent hours today trying to remove this spy crap from my phone.
Why can't I just have a mobile phone smart phone call whatever you want.
We're I chose my own apps I've got 4 Microsoft apps that are stuck on my phone.that I will never use I thought this was my phone.
Sorry I just can't get my head around it there is a reason it can not be fully deleted not sure what it is but I guarantee it's not for my benefit

For some reason that is the only app you can not find in the play store and on my phone doesn't show up when I reinstall it.
I was going to attempt to uninstall from there but no luck my OCD kicks in and even though I can not see it I know it's there and that's enough for me
And also raises concern for me (If I keep looking I might find a back door to platform 9 😇
