Charging the Battery

Hello, Just bought a Vodaphone Smart Prime 6 phone - I am charging it for the first time - it had 9% battery left. It as been on charge for over 12 hours now and is ONLY at 31% charge, this seems so wrong to me.

What am i doing wrong or is this normal?

12 hours to reach that current battery % does not sound right to me. 

Can you try another charger ?

Check the charging port for lint / dust ?

If this was my phone I'd be thinking of returning it under the 30 day clause for a new replacement.

I think I found the problem - wrong cable - using the one for my camera. Pluged 'correct' one in and it is now charged up well within the hour, so hopefully ok. Thanks

Ah, glad you found the answer! Another issue can be a charger of the wrong amperage - too high or too low, and absolutely nothing happens, as the phone protects itself against possible damage.
