Delivery date

So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

I'm just a customer who is incredibly bemused that somebody can get so worked up about a phone being late, let alone getting worked up when it's two days until the phone is due anyway!

You  evidently haven't been on the eForum long then!  :smileylol:

This happens every year! - It happened with the Galaxy S3 and every flagship Samsung phone with the possible exception of the S5 - But we all know Samsung lost their way with the S5...

There were scenes on the eForum verging on hysteria with threads hundres of posts long when the phones were delayed.  Vodafone and Samsung wheeled out their well proven contingency plans of battening down the hatches and riding out the stom knowing it would all blow over.

This time around it appears that Samsung and Vodafone will be spoiling the party and actually delivering the preorders on time. For once Samsung appears to anticipated consumer demand and got their supply chain issues sorted out.

I too am a real customer and to see that explosion when I know the phone isn't out for preorders until Tuesday is hilarious, I'll begin to worry if tracking doesn't update Monday night though

yes hopefully it will. And let's also hope that the VR will be delivered with the handset, normally it should be

Ok let's put all our differences and opinions aside. The first person to say they have moved to stage 3 or if they have had and email/text saying that they are due for delivery 8th/9th/10th/11th is the saviour of all humanity.

haha yes indeed.

Webreaper is an idiot. It's unprofessional how vodafone have dealt with this. As for the staff vodafone employed these staff to answer our questions if they can't confirm the right answers then they shouldn't be allowed to talk to us.

I work part time in a call centre and it's a breach of compliance telling customers false information and very detrimental to the company.

People ain't worried about it being late you people put words in others mouths. They just would like more than 24 hours to plan a day off work. Not like we are asking for miracles

Compliance? What are you on about? Compliance is about data protection, it's not about courier shipping dates. And if you need time to plan to book off to wait for your parcel, just adjust the delivery date via the courier website, as I said before.

Vodafone haven't been unprofessional at all. They haven't done anything wrong. You appear to be looking for a grievance which doesn't exist.

*If* your phone doesn't arrive Tuesday (as was promised) then you might have a reason to start accusing Vodafone of unprofessionalism or whatever. But right now, you're trying to get angry about a problem which hasn't happened and in all likelihood won't. It's childish and absurd.

PS: if it's really so difficult to book a day off, I hardly see how that's Vodafone's issue, as long as they deliver the phone by Tuesday when they said they would in the T&Cs. If that doesn't work for you then why not wait two weeks and go in to a store and buy a phone over the counter on your day off?

No compliance is to ensure they are doing everything by the book. Making sure your staff don't just say anything the company can't fulfil is a breach.

We aren't you clearly can't read. Read back and see what people are actually moaning about you idiot.
