Entertainment Pack offer saga

graham72
4: Newbie

I was offered a free entertainment pack on my £20/month SIM only 20GB, u SMS, u calls plan on Vodafone chat but it has never materialised and has wasted a lot of my time.

Vatika:

thank you for confirming all the details , You can have the same bundle and as you are our valuable customer I will get added entertainment pack free of cost for you

Graham: Fantastic you are a star! I just send a text to some number and choose which one I want?
Vatika:

yeah you are absolutely correct

I then checked

on 4G and home wifi (after getting code) but there was always a price associated with Spotify and Sky Sports. I was told to wait 40minutes and try again. Still no joy. There then followed 8 similar chats over the space of a week until one CSA told me they couldn't actually add a free entertainment pack to my account.

On Sunday I got a SMS from Vodafine saying "Just a reminder, your bundle includes a subscription to Spotify Premium, a NOW TV Entertainment Pass or Sky Mobile TV, to choose yours just got to https://offers.vodafone.com/gb?s=R1". No surprise after clicking on the link I get the the page with prices again.

@graham72 this happened to me when I upgraded in November.  :smileysad:  If you sit tight one of the eForum team will be able to get in touch and reset the entertainment bundle on your account so you're able to sign up to Spotify or Sky without charge :smileyhappy:

@graham72 I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.

Had a chat with a Vodafone Social Media CSA who moved me to the £19 16GB plan. After I got off the phone I tried to sign up for Spotify. Now it has no price showing which is good but unfortunately I'm still not enjoying an entertainment pack.

Clicked on the link from the sms Vodafone sent me regarding the packs. Set up a Spotify account (email, DOB and password), then get to Connect Vodafone to your spotify account (you are logged in as xxxxx - my chosen Spotify username), clicked on the green OKAY button then get A server error occurred. We are very sorry, but we'll need to log you in again. And it so it repeats. I tried with two different browsers on my phone - Chrome and Dolphin.

@graham72 I'm sorry to hear that this isn't yet working.

If you haven't already, please reply to our latest email - we'll then look into this further.

Have replied to the last email. Still getting server error (lunchtime Friday). I'm not convinced that waiting till 6pm (giving the change 24hrs) will fix a server error. Getting very frustrated with this.serror1.jpgserror2.jpg

@graham72

It's a shame to see that this still hasn't been fixed.

As you've replied to our latest email, a member of the team will be in touch to help shortly.

We appreciate your patience in this matter.

Finally sorted. Took a trip down to a Vodafone shop on my lunch hour. They couldn't do anything but said I should phone 191 and tell them I was at a Vodafone shop and needed to talk to the 'technical team'. 25 mins on hold with them and then told to try  adding the pack again in an hour (no explanation of what they fixed / did). Did try an hour later and no longer got the server error and finally have Spotify premium linked to my account.

Rough estimate, it's taken about 5 hours and a fair bit of effort to get Spotify after being told it'll be added to my plan at no extra cost.

N.B No one from Vodafone contacted me today (unless you count the previous post on this thread).
