How does it work? I pre-ordered on 9th September, like many. But won't receive my phone until 12th October at the earliest now. My current contract expires on 1st October.
Will my new contract then kick in on 1st October? Or will I continue having to pay for a phone I've already fully paid off until such time that my 7+ arrives and then I'll switch to the new contract?

Hello.
My understanding is that when a person upgrades this starts pretty much straightaway.
If a person does not upgrade them the current contract turns into a 30 day rolling contract.

So my new contract will start on the 1st October straight after my old contract expires? Even though I haven't received the phone?
tbh that would be my preference as I've then started the clock ticking on the 24 months rather than continuing to pay for my old phone past the 24 months and then in 2018 having to wait even longer for the finish of the contract.

As a consumer customer, you will start getting charged for your upgrade once the device has been sent out to you so, at the moment you will still be on your old price plan.
Thanks,
