FEC Errors and unstable line - again!

After registering a fault 2 weeks ago regarding extremely high FEC errors and dropouts, I was sent another hub. Initially the results were the same with the new hub, so I started from scratch, unplugged all ethernet cables and powerline adapters, reset the router and everything seemed to settle down. It seemed at the time it was the powerline adapters causing the problem, so I stopped using them. On the safe side I also replaced the master socket adapter with a new MK4 BTopenworld version and new router to master socket cable.

I have just checked my FEC stats and noticed I am into the billions after 4 days of router up time. Very frustrating. Unfortunately, I found tech support to be extremely slow and incompetent regarding the initial matter. There was apparently not a problem with the line, I'm not convinced that was the case.

My download speed is now at 42 mbit/s, I had 53mbit/s with Plusnet. Oh boy! Have I made a mistake. I really need a visit from BT to sort this. I will try tech support once more and prepare myself for another hour on the phone.
