I need advice how I should connect vodafone router with Fibre+ service.
I found that several posts and Vodafone's support page (https://support.vodafone.co.uk/Device-Guides/Installation/56628257/Start-using-your-router.htm) contradict eachother .
My prior provider is BT, they connected an ONT box to the wall socket.
Two options:
(1) (as per Vodafone help page): connect the router's wan port to the LAN port of ONT box
(2) (as per posts and email from vodafone): connect the router "internet" port via phone cable (RJ11) to the wall socket.
Obviosly the difference if the connect router is handling the modem/ONT function itself or relies on external box.

I had exactly the same confusion when I switched. I'd been fibre for several years, and has like you a fibre modem, and a router connected to this by RJ45. I called up Vodafone support twice querying this before I discovered that the latest router/modems however now work with fibre they're VDSL compatible.
I was able to ditch the old BT fibre modem, and connect the vodafone router directly via the RJ11 cable. Works fine, and one less power adaptor.

I am upgrading from broadband to fibre next week. I have been sent (and billed for ) a new router, but I am wondering if I really need to fit this, as it looks identical to the one I am presently using.
