Formatting micro SD card for internal memory for HTC One A9

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Has anyone managed to do this successfully and if so what card did you use?

I want to be able to transfer some apps onto the card to free up phone storage space.

I bought one that says its speed class 3:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Micro-Memory-without-Adapter/dp/B00RVNFXWY?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=t...

but when I try to format the card for internal storage in the phone it says its too slow and I need one that is speed class 3 - but that is what I thought I had bought!

Thanks

My apologies for the trouble you've had.

I think that either way to get this resolved, whether that be replacement or sending the phone off, you would be left without a phone for a few days at least unfortunately because, to swap the phone, we would still need that one back first.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience that's been caused and I do hope that Customer Services devises a suitable plan that's convenient for you to get this resolved.

I'm happy to help you in any way that I can in getting this resolved but, the forum team don't have access to accounts so I'm a little restricted with what I can do for you. I will however, advise you and help however I can through this process.

Please keep me updated with the progress of your issue and let me know if you require any more help with this.

It's fine @Viki_R - it all went too well to be true in terms of the ordering process etc.

Interestingly, with a replacement phone, DPD bring new > take the old so very quick doing that way - but does depend on there being stock!

Anyway, I will be returning the A9 as within 30 days - and will be looking at getting an HTC 10 somehow / at some point. I will experiment with the nano sim tucked inside the micro-sim push-out of the sim carrier card that came with the phone... if i can get it to fit the One X at least I am back to square one until handset gets sorted :Smiling:

Now, I must remember to remove that lovely new SanDisk UHS U3 64gb card... Might just use it in one of my Raspberry Pi's...
