Google has announced it will be hosting an event in San Francisco on October 4 where it is widely expected to launch its new lineup of smartphones, the Pixel and Pixel XL.
On Tuesday, Google uploaded a teaser video that confirms the date of the event alongside the Google logo and outline of a smartphone.
Google’s previous range of smartphones and tablets were released under the Nexus brand. However, it is widely expected to drop the Nexus name replacing it with either “G” or “Pixel” or both”.
According to recent rumours the Goole Pixel and Pixel XL will sport 5 inch and 5.5 inch displays, respectively, and will also include a seriously powerful Snapdragon 821 processor.
Just hours before the release of its teaser, the tech giant seemed to have accidentally revealed its highly anticipated smartphone in an advert for one of its other products.
