Hi Landy79,
The error code 608 means "Device does not exist", which suggests that Windows is not pointing to the modem correctly.
To resolve this, please close down Vodafone Mobile Connect completely, and navigate to the "Phone and Modem Options" section of Control Panel.
Click on the Modems tab, and remove all modems listed.
Next, go to Manage Network Connections from the Control Panel, and delete the VMC dial-up connection.
Now reboot, and re-connect the modem. It should now install correctly and the connection will start to work
