Help with mobile wifi/Broadband

Hi there i am looking for some advice/help.

I currently have a Vodafone wirless dongle model R212 with 4g.

I also have an old Vodafone USB dongle (not with me so no model number).

The 4g one is on contract and is fine most of the time, but sometimes i will be at a venue where i need internet connection and there is no vodafone signal.

Is it possible to buy PAYG sims from other providers and use these as backups when the Vodafone signal is poor or non existent?

Please advise as very frustrating.

Hi there

Most commonly the dongles are network locked to Vodafone so you won't be able to use another SIM in them until they are unlocked.  You'll find the NUC request form here

Ok and when unlocked would any mobile broadband sim work?

Yes, once this is unlocked you can then use another networks SIM.
